FIRST TIME VISITORS TO BNI

Ed Craine, BNI San Francisco Executive DirectorThank you for your interest in BNI San Francisco.  Welcome to BNI, the world's largest business referral organization!  BNI has more than 211,000 members in 70 countries, more than 600 of whom are in BNI chapters in San Francisco.  Every member of BNI San Francisco acts as a part of the marketing team for the other members of their chapter, with the aim of securing qualified business referrals for each other.

How can I find out more about BNI?

The best way to find out about BNI is to visit a chapter.  By visiting a local chapter you will be able to experience the culture and structure of a BNI meeting. You will also get to know the business people involved in the chapter. If the group would be a good fit for your business and your business category is open, you may apply for the position at the meeting. Click here for BNI San Francisco chapter details.

How can I get invited to be a guest at a local BNI chapter?
To insure that you have a welcomed visit it would be best to have you as an expected guest. This can be done a number of ways. One way is to contact our regional office and have us notify the chapter that you will be visiting. Please contact the BNI San Francisco office at (415) 406-2330send email or complete the form at the left of this page. You can also be invited by a BNI member or contact your local chapter's president directly.

How do I find a Chapter with an opening for me?
Click here to find Chapters which may have an opening for your profession.

Joining a Chapter.  An individual may be a member of one chapter only.  A company may have individuals representing them in several chapters.  Applications are available at chapter meetings, and members of the chapter will assist with their completion.  An new member application is reviewed by the chapter's Membership Committee, and the prospective member notified of the application status as soon as possible.  The investment to join BNI consists of a registration fee, and annual participation fee.  Please call the BNI San Francisco office for details.  You will also be required to attend a Member Success Program within your first 60 days.  More information may be found at; Investment

Individual chapters may also charge an additional fee to pay for the space in which their meetings take place.  These charges are separate, and in addition to the investment to join BNI, and are at the discretion of individual chapter management teams.

New Chapters.  You should note that some professions (particularly residential mortgage brokers, realtors, and financial advisors) may find it extremely difficult to find a chapter or forming group with an opening for their business category.  If you are interested in starting your own chapter, please contact the BNI San Francisco office at (415) 406-2330, send email or complete the online information request form.  We will send information about the development of new chapters.
